原唱人Sandi Patti，在美國是位資深且受歡迎的福音歌手。
歌名Via Dolorosa 指的是主耶穌背負十字架的受難之路，
從彼拉多的衙門直到各各他〈Calvary〉長約五百公尺，共有十四站。
